Leadership is part of chapter life, not a side feature.
Beta Lambda treats leadership as something members practice and build. Officers, committee leads, and engaged brothers all determine whether the chapter grows or drifts.
How Beta Lambda develops leaders
Leadership at Beta Lambda is practical, not ceremonial. Members take on officer roles, committee responsibilities, and event planning that builds habits they carry beyond graduation.
Executive leadership
The chapter depends on officers who communicate clearly, organize well, and protect the long-term health of Beta Lambda.
Shared ownership
Strong chapters are not built by a president alone. Committees, project leads, and engaged members all shape the chapter's direction.
Beyond college
When done well, fraternity leadership builds habits that carry into careers, alumni life, and the responsibilities that come after campus.

Local legacy, national network
Beta Lambda connects Akron brothers to 200,000+ initiated members and a network of alumni and chapters nationwide.
What membership in Beta Lambda requires
Membership should carry weight. Beta Lambda expects members to uphold Theta Chi's ideals, contribute to chapter life, respect the brotherhood, and represent the organization with maturity. A chapter with no standards eventually has no identity.
Commitment and conduct
Brothers contribute their time, take chapter responsibilities seriously, respect one another, and support a culture that values accountability, scholarship, and responsible conduct.
- Attend chapter meetings and events
- Maintain academic standing
- Contribute to chapter operations and planning
- Uphold Theta Chi's Creed in daily life
Hazing is never part of membership
Theta Chi does not tolerate hazing or any new-member activity built on humiliation, fear, or the idea that one member is less human than another. The new-member experience is values-centered, respectful, and aligned with Theta Chi's Ritual, Creed, Constitution, Bylaws, and Risk Management Standards.
